What is ILogTheOutdoors?
ILogTheOutdoors is an outdoor activity logbook for planning outings, recording field information, organizing equipment and preserving outdoor history.
What outdoor activities can I track?
You can keep hiking, hunting, fishing and shooting records, with workflows for the details of each activity.
Is ILogTheOutdoors free?
Free includes core outdoor logging, historical review and basic inventory management, including CSV bulk management. Some planning limits and advanced tools depend on your plan; see Pricing for the current comparison.
What does ILogTheOutdoors Pro add?
Pro adds tools such as activity readiness, hiking performance, Fishing Insights, hunting analysis and rifle DOPE. It adds analysis and expanded planning options without deleting your underlying history when you downgrade.
Can I track hiking, hunting, fishing and shooting in one account?
Yes. One account holds your records across all four activities, so you do not need a separate account for each outdoor interest.
Can I track my outdoor gear and inventory?
Yes. Free inventory management records quantities you own or have on hand. Activity plans separately describe required quantities. Planning does not deduct inventory; actual stock changes are recorded through inventory transactions.
Can I track ammunition and Range Sessions?
Yes. Free includes firearms, Range Sessions, Shot Groups and ammunition inventory. Groups can record exact loads and lots, and stock deductions happen only after you confirm the session inventory review.
Can I store rifle DOPE information?
Yes. Rifle DOPE and ballistic load-profile tools are Pro features. Core range logging and ammunition inventory management remain available on Free.
Can I track fishing catches and the equipment I used?
Yes. Log individual catches or catches within a fishing trip, with equipment such as rods, reels, setups, line and lures. Equipment used can differ from catch to catch.
Can I export my information?
Yes. Signed-in users can download their account data as JSON from their profile. Inventory CSV bulk management is also available on Free. Advanced export features may require Pro.
How does ILogTheOutdoors handle my data and privacy?
Exact outdoor locations are private account data. The privacy policy explains data ownership and location-related services, including map tiles and weather providers. Review that policy before sharing sensitive details in feedback.
Can I use ILogTheOutdoors on a phone or tablet?
The website has responsive layouts for phones, tablets and desktops. Use an internet connection for the current browser workflows. Do not rely on offline capture or background synchronization as a currently supported capability.
